60 for 60: Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ/GlaxoWellcome Technology Center opens on Main Campus in 1997


In celebration of Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵnical Community College’s 60th anniversary, the College is publishing 60 for 60 – a storytelling campaign that highlights the people, places, and events that have progressed and shaped the College’s six decades of impact. outside of a buildingIn November 1997, Main Campus grew by one more building.

The Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ/GlaxoWellcome Technology Center opened its doors to serve students in healthcare programs. That same year, the Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ Foundation received its largest gift to date -- $500,000 from GlaxoSmithKline to outfit the building with equipment needed for programs. 

Among the programs first housed in the building were Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Pharmacy Tech, Surgical Tech, and Information Technology.
