Welcome back, Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ!

Are you looking for some new (or old) books to check out and read from the Orange County Campus Library?

[insert record scratch] Wait, wait, wait. What? Are the libraries open? Can I come get my own books? How does this work?

It's okay. Let me explain how the library is working to transport the books you want into your hands.

Books float through the air.
It's like magic!

General library hours for both the Main and Orange County Campus libraries can be found on the Library homepage (scroll below the boxes). Hours may change through the semester, but will be updated on the webpage and on .

What if you don't know what you want? Ask us! You can either email a specific librarian or email the general library email account (library@durhamtech.edu). What type of book are you looking for? ? ? ? ? ?

Want to look for your own books? , one of our databases, can help you pick. Log in using the same username and password as you'd use for Sakai or Self-Service.

We also like , , and the (for starters).

You can search our catalog and put a hold on a book yourself if you already have a Library account with us. (Have trouble? Let us know. Your Library account might need updating.)

My Account login for library catalog. Login using user ID OR alternate ID and pin. User ID is the 29024000 barcode from the library that you would have received when registering for a library card. Alternate ID is your Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ ID number. The pin should be the last 4 digits of your Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ ID number. Email or chat us with issues logging in.
Faculty or staff who have had a library account for a long time may need to add DTCC in front of their Alternate ID.

Interlibrary loan (ILL) is available from most of the community colleges we share our catalog with, so if Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ÊÓƵ doesn't have it, we may be able to get it for you. Just ask!

Don't have a library account yet? Let us know and we'll help you set one up when you come get your books.

Once you've either emailed your request or put a hold on your books, we'll contact you to set up a time to pick them up. Books coming from other campuses may take additional time to arrive. We are not doing curbside services-- you will need to come into the library (and check in with a photo ID) to get your books.

And now for those new OCC books:

And remember that it's not too late to start or work towards finishing the Library's two (!) 2020 reading challenges:

  • Like category-based challenges or pressed for time? The can be "won" by reading 5 books (if you double dip). Finish books that fit into 10 out of our 12 current categories.
  • Just want to read more? With the , you just finish 20 books. That's it.  (It's "above average" because 20 is above .)
